WET PNEUMATIC, the new full-length album from Oakland, California's LAMENT CITYSCAPE (whose members have all now relocated to different parts of the country), is coming soon. Compiling the band's three self-released EPs which were unleashed at specific points throughout 2020, the ANNIHILVS Compact Disc edition will include additional material. Originally released on CDR by ANNIHILVS in 2011, WITHOUT ME was a tremendously ambitious effort. Spanning half a year of production, WITHOUT ME brings together a superstar collaborative team. The album was masterminded by Lee M. Bartow (THEOLOGIAN, ANNIHILVS), who adapted a slew of incomplete tracks by multi-instrumentalist Carrie Lisa Ingber (ex-PAPER DAGGERS), a Berklee School of Music graduate with a degree in Film Scoring, who turned her lifelong infatuation with THE CURE into a profound talent for constructing perfect contemporary shoegaze. By incorporating the guitar talents of Mike Hill (TOMBS), John LaMacchia (SPYLACOPA, CANDIRIA), Derek Rush (DREAM INTO DUST, CHTHONIC STREAMS), and three-fourths of now-defunct Brooklyn rockers TOURNAMENT, Ingber's collection of four minute gloomy pop songs have been transported into darker territory by Bartow and company, adding a bit of industrial grit and the occasional expansive drone dirge. The album was partly engineered with the aid of Bartow's longtime friend and collaborator, Kevin Reilly, Jr. (CHARLIE VICTOR ROMEO, KRISHNA DAS). As the tenth anniversary of this important release approaches, ANNIHILVS has joined forces with LaMacchia's RISING PULSE RECORDS to produce a new cassette+digital edition, featuring brand new mixes by Raab Codec (SNOWBEASTS, COMPONENT RECORDINGS), who also mastered the album. Three SNOWBEASTS remixes (one on the cassette, two on the digital version) have also been included. An additional five new remixes from Kevin Reilly’s original sessions have been included for the digital edition. ANNIHILVS is disgusted to admit our association with the foul, reeking ambulatory waste product that is GROT. A creature composed of pure ugly, GROT defies the laws of nature; it is the sound of sewage made sentient, of loathing made atmosphere, of black clouds above rotted cities where stinking corpses occupy every possible corner, and the air is thick with flies. Our first release of 2021, THE FACE OF GROT cassette will include a special edition of five copies that each come with a 4 inch GROTLING figurine.

In 2021, Chicago-based solo black metal project ANNIHILUS will release a cassette of atmospheric drone tracks on ANNIHILVS, in what will truly be a marriage made in the capitol city of Hell. ANNIHILUS has recently released his debut vinyl LP, GHANIMA to critical acclaim via AMERICAN DREAMS RECORDS and the video for DESTROY THE FUTURE was featured in MONOMER TV Season Two Episode 5.

The absolutely brilliant UK solo industrial project PRIMITIVE KNOT will join the ANNIHILVS roster in 2021 with TRIUMPH ÖV DEAF, a collection of cover songs on cassette. PRIMITIVE KNOT has been making major waves this year, with releases on DEATHBED TAPES and DAMIEN RECORDS, and multiple videos featured on MONOMER TV, it was only a matter of time before we jumped at the chance to work with him, especially given that he's collaborated multiple times with our great friend Joan Pope of TEMPLE OV SATURN.

RETREAT, a new EP by our longtime compatriot, FRAGMENT KING, will be released in early 2020. A frequent collaborating member of NAVICON TORTURE TECHNOLOGIES, FRAGMENT KING (or FK) is the audio/performance alter ego of Bavarian-American sonic architect M. Kammerbauer. Extreme emotion and extreme absence of emotion are parts of a dichotomy of expression present in FK's work. At times highly confrontational and at times soothing, FK uses the widest possible range of instrumentation: from animal instinct to academic discourse, from guitars to computers, from the human body to the body of space. FRAGMENT KING produced various vinyl, MC and CD-R/CD releases from 1997 to the present, in addition to remixes and compilation tracks, on MHz, ANNIHILVS, COCK ROCK DISCO, and his own label, NEXIALIST. FK has shared the stage with BAZOOKA, HERBST9, EDGEY, KLANGSTABIL, SYNAPSCAPE, Marcelo Aguire, and many more. For the better part of 2007-2013, FRAGMENT KING worked with late pioneering industrial percussionist Z'EV within the collaborative project THE BÄND.

ANNIHILVS presents this new five-song digital EP from THEOLOGIAN, featuring material started in 2019, refined during the initial period of isolation following the Covid-19 pandemic, and ultimately fleshed out in Autumn 2020. Originally planned as a collaborative effort with Mike McClatchey (LAMENT CITYSCAPE), due to the big life changes brought about by current events, he was unable to commit his time to the project. As chance had it, I was contacted shortly after by Eric Morgan (A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH), who was looking to collaborate with me again, as he had done so effectively on 2014's PAIN OF THE SAINTS double CD on MALIGNANT RECORDS.
